IF THESE WERE MY DYING WORDS, I`D SAY: GET TO THE ISSUE ---TAKING THE TIMELESS OUT OF TIME

               If these were my last words to you, I`d say, "Forget
everything else! Get to the ISSUE! Learn how to turn
your mind to Mind. Learn how it happens that identity
becomes Identity.
         This is how we begin to get there.Check it out.

        When I talk of the Transcendentalists,first I mean the American Transcendentalists(Emerson, Whitman and Thoreau ). We had all that wit and wisdom in our own back yard, always, we just didn`t know it.
         
        "In your back yard is the true Benares."
         
          These guys wrote of how to get beyond
  the ego and death.
         And there are others, from earlier times and from other places.... men who knew what was in the ground of our Being also.
         Emerson`s statement:  "There is one mind common
to all individual men." 
         Each person can enter into this mind we all share. Jung`s Collective
Unconscious is not far off. This is the kind of thinking and non-thinking I`m pointing at, if these were my last words...

         There is no question Walt Whitman passed
through a complete knowing experience in order to write
  the secrets and the hints and the pointings at mysteries
  which pervade Leaves of Grass .
           The very image, "leaves of grass" is an
image of transcendence.

            When I speak of transcendence, I`m talking about
a thinking that goes beyond the narrow view of one ego,
a knowing that goes beyond death - "transcending" the
ego and death... speaking of vision that
arises from the foundation experience.

     "We are too late for the gods, but too early for Being."*

      This is the kind of  mind  I`m talking about.

       Hindu philosophy speaks constantly of transcendence,
that which allows us to see beyond death.
The flowering tree in your garden - the galaxies in the midnight skies, the golden spiral unfolding -   "That thou art."                                ***

The Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita...these works
speak of transcendence beyond all else.

Truly these works are the mountaintops of human
vision - words emanating from Mind.But you don`t
need a priest to teach you this stuff, all you need
is a hand pointing the way to these works ,
and a few suggestions about how to get there,
to the place of definitions. You
can apprehend God yourself, for divinity is
within you.

 Buddha`s work towards and in satori...His is a mind
that most definitely attained Mind...all the expressions
about Buddhahood are expressions dealing with capital "M" Mind.
        Attaining Buddhahood, attaining satori...that which
comes when you stop achieving, this is the clearest expression of attaining Mind.
             In the west, we have to start speaking in terms of
"attaining Christ Consciousness."
       
       I SHALL BE AS HE IS, AND HE SHALL BE ME,
AND THE HIDDEN THINKS WILL BE REVEALED TO HIM.

        Christ, when he says, "BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM."
This is transcendence, pure and simple.

             Christ, a word which means "Anointed One", and the
anointed one is the One whose mind is Mind. 
         It is in tasting the Mind of Christ that I had my realization,
tasting a Mind that really never dies...communing with a Mind that
transcends death.
            How to have this most basic Realization -
this is the ISSUE
             Realizing the Mind within, this is how
we Know the Eternal.
             How vision becomes Vision - this is the ISSUE!

         Forget about whether Christ was God or human!
Clearly he was both! As we all are both!
         I can hear people screaming "blasphemy!" Just
as they did in His time.
         Screw blasphemy! We all partake of the divine nature
The Nature of the One Who Is Creating Us - this is our birthright! Even as partially dying is our birthright.In so far as our mind has become Mind,  we don`t die!
          (p.s: When I say `mind` I also mean:  heart-mind,
mind-soul... we don`t have the precise word for it
in English)

          This shit is simple! The assholes make it sound
complicated, SO THEY CAN TAKE YOUR MONEY!

           Mind beyond thought. Mind is
born out of the Vision of the eternal ones.
And the eternal ones exist. And we are meant to
join them.
          First we must get our thinking out of all
the squabbles and property line disputes
that occupy too much of human thinking...
           Get your mind out of the bullshit!

         
        
          Sex is something else we are just beginning to know and that religion gives us problems with. The sexual revolution is not over; the sexual revolution has scarcely begun!
         Screw guilt! Guilt is how they control you! THEY MAKE YOU WEAK AND INDECISIVE - AND THEN THEY
PASS THE COLLECTION PLATE!

         They call the early Christians "gnostics". Because
the early Christians emphasize Knowing. That`s
because Christ emphasized Knowing!
         Get it into your head! There is no discussion
here. There is no one in doubt here.
          Do you recognize this voice?  (Jesus Christ,
I`m starting to sound like Santa! That`s because
I am Santa!)
       
             The method? What`s the method. Let the river-like mind
clear when sitting, focus on the Mindshocks, sayings of total
paradox. Eat lightly. Wear clean clothes. Honour the sacred plants.
        Most of all it is focusing on the burning question within you.

        Coleridge`s mind touches upon it... and many other
people poets and mystics. Hell, we need a SCHOOL FOR MYSTICS! I`m only half joking when I write about the
School For Mystics! 


         What I encourage you to get at is the  EXPERIENCE itself... the  movement into Knowing, when your mind starts becoming Mind and you begin to taste the Eternal.
             The eggshell ego implodes and what remains is:

      "FOREVER CHANGING, YET ETERNALLY THE SAME"
         
 This is the nature of reality. It`s a phrase  I`m proud of.

There is also:

       "I AM THAT I AM"

But I didn`t write that one - that one`s the voice
  of the burning bush.
          
         Philosophers and mystics, bodhisattvas and
saints all take  a very similar journey. THE LONGEST
JOURNEY KNOWN TO MAN IS THE JOURNEY TO
HIMSELF!

         I`m talking about the transitory nature of life
and I`m quoting myself...there`s humour in that
somewhere.
         
         A  friend of mine from years ago wrote
the following words for a calypso song:    
 "You`ve got to die in your mind; you`ve
got to do it right. If you want to live in Paradise!"

          The ISSUE is accessing  transcendental vision  What  the School For Mystics is all about. Look for that  infinite taste of time
beyond time - that place the archetypes come
from, that ancient city we have all experienced...
         You know - that sense of deja vu we have in certain
places - the feeling that we have been there or some
place very similar before.  Well, you likely have!
          When you know the fact  that people`s minds travel without them - not just what we call Extra Sensory Perception,but dying people can visit you in your dreams,
the very moment they are dying!
         When some one close to us has been injured or is in deep trouble, we know it from thousands of miles away, no problem.
  
         Also, I`m not sure how this works, but there
appear to be Conscious Ones who live in some place  beyond birth or death...
As I say, I`m not sure of the mechanics of this - once upon a time I suppose they were called angels.

        The world is full of mysteries we are just beginning to know the shape of...we haven`t gotten to the heart of them at all.We don`t even know what water is, though we can decribe it as H20, and it tastes good
when we drink it. But what IS it?

          There is one Ultimate
Knowing experience.All over the world there are different
names for the same experience... there are
many paths to get there, but everywhere the experience
is the same
    You come out of it feeling: "I know all there is to know...And I know nothing!"
       
I can`t explain the mechanics of the implosion
 experience. Afterwards you are stunned and shocked.
And and after that, joy comes.
      
          The Foundation Experience is what takes
you beyond birth an death.
            

          We can`t trust the damn christians these days!
That Path has been so screwed up by church
lies and political manipulations... that the way to the holy
city within has been obscured. "They had the keys to the
Kingdom and they did not enter, nor did they permit
anyone else to enter."

          Many of the ministers tend just to repeat
the same old lies, not so much out of malevolence -
but because they haven`t had the necessary adventurous
spirit to step beyond the village gates and see for 
themselves.
       The holy city - the pure land - the promised land, the
Paradise within - This is the place we seek, the place pilgrims used to journey to...all this has been screwed up so badly in christian thinking that`s it`s a damn shame.
       OK, once again the ISSUE is how to taste the Eternal,
the paradise promised us by the early teacher saints.
        My realization took place in Christian terms, so that`s lucky. I can talk of these things...in ancient Christian terms...the Chrism -
realizing the Christ within, as mind become Mind.
         BUT I was totally psychologically unprepared for the
Experience I had!
        Because the Way has been obscured for Western Civilization - Canada, America, and Europe - we`ve all been given erroneous teachings!

          We hardly know the Journey exists, the quest for
what is real, the quest for the holy Grail.
           I`m not going to rant about this again. But we need
a Christian Path of Initiation, with signposts along the way for the poor bastards who come to Realization in the
modern demi-christian world.
            
              But the ISSUE, again, is the search for
the intersection of the timeless with time (T.S. Eliot).
He calls this search the "occupation of the saint"
And he`s right.
               There is a saint in all of us.

                "When meditating on the shining lake within,
the mind of the common man becomes the Mind of the
saint."
                This is the Quest, this is the Chalice
we seek, this point of integration, of unity with the earth
and the skies, the place where ego death is achieved.
And the Grace of Vision is given us and we enter the 
eternal Mind.                  
               
If I were going to croak tomorrow and I had one last sentence to say to you, I`d say, "LOOK HERE.
Check out the ISSUE. BE YOUR OWN MYSTIC - see that place where your eye becomes the Eye of the One Who Is
Creating Us.
                 When your mind tastes the Mind of the
vast beginning-less realms, the vast death-less
realms...you`ll know exactly what I`m talking about.
                 This is the quest of the Steppenwolf,
the journey of Siddartha - this is the HIGHWAY
OF THE BIKER SAINTS, the ones truly born to
be wild.

HE WHO DISCERNS THE MEANING OF THESE WORDS
        WILL NOT TASTE DEATH

The Mind that said this knew what he was talking about.
This is the focus of the ones who work at the Edge.
The ones who know the way to the pure land
within, the land that is promised us.

        How do we solve the ISSUE?  

        We read the words. Then we forget the words. We`ve got to unlearn everything we have been taught. Local `culture` is not your friend. It will imprison you.


        Taste the raw fibre of reality reaching towards
your with beatific patience.  Read and forget.
Forget and then see some more - catch the glimpse
of the smile  in the glorious appearance of things....  

        Matter is not unconscious, matter is the Chapel of the Black Hand, where we shed all in the "Dark Night of the Soul."

        It all  comes together here...the "dream time", this Time beyond time - the Eternal Present - this Infinity
beyond time and space...

         It`s all here, once you get beyond the lies.

             The ISSUE - what the mystics search for by focusing sitting still - what the thinkers think of when the thinking stops... 
       When small mind dies and becomes Mind, and when Mind drinks of  eternal skies 

 "LIFT UP A STONE A YOU WILL FIND ME THERE"
"CLEAVE A PIECE OF WOOD I AM THERE."

         All the words do a circle dance into the Word...
After the thinking stops, we see what is unspeakably beautiful and profane... 
both at the same time.

         "The timeless place, there the dance is"... we dance
to a silent symphony, the silent music of the spheres, 
the music of God.

       Get to the ISSUE itself! Find your true occupation - taking the timeless out of time. The universe is a constant birthing.

THE SEVEN SERMONS TO THE DEAD by BASILIDES, early Cristian MASTER....MAJOR INFLUENCE ON CARL JUNG

SPIRIT AND PSYCHE

When Basilides
of Alexandria made his SEVEN SERMONS TO THE DEAD, he spoke of the dead
who had come to Alexandria, and "leaned against the wall" and "cried out in desperation for a vision of God and 'to learn what we lack' he was not referring to a group of corpses who walked like zombies through the night: no, he was speaking of the living who had not yet awakened.
So it is in the Gospel of Philip when the apostle says: "Blessed is he who restores sight to the THE BLIND," he is not talking about those who literally cannot see, but those who are living in blindness because they have not yet come
to realization.

Basilides was a teacher, a master, who had himself learned the way beyond, which is to become single in mind and spirit, and to unify completely with the Light
within. I think of the Zen people who value "One pointed Mind,"unified focus.

The dead had gone to Jerusalem and there "they did not find what they sought"
so they returned to ask questions of Basilides.

Basilides gave them seven sermons in order that "the dead" might awaken and come to life. In this way he was also restoring sight to the blind.

I should point out that these sermons were transcribed by none other than Carl Gustav Jung, who started his own school of therapy, naturally called the Jungian
school and method.

Now Jung stressed 'individuation', the growth of a person into what he is meant to be; and this growth takes place in the psyche, which also includes the Collective
Unconscious, which is different from the subconscious Freud taught about.
Why I bring this up is this: I think Jung was influenced by Basilides and his process of individuation is not unlike the process the ancient master speaks of,
the process of becoming unified and "single", which is to say not unduly influenced by the daemon of sexuality or by the "too crafty thoughts of the earthly one, who will creep through every hole and cleave to all thing with desirousness."

Basilides also says: "Communion is everything."

And:"Prayer increases the light of the Star within; it casts a bridge over death."

No religion is truly a religion that does not deal with eternal life. This is the promise Christ made, "Come to me and you will find life eternal."

"Before Abraham was, I am."

WHY ARE THE VISION PLANTS ILLEGAL?...................... THE HERB AND THE SACRED MUSHROOMS............................................................................THE VISION PLANTS ARE ILLEGAL BECAUSE THEY MAKE YOU SEE!.......... BECOMING ONE WITH THE MIND OF GOD

           BECOMING ONE WITH THE MIND OF GOD     
         

          I was going to do a course called: RELIGION AND IMAGINATIVE LITERATURE
up at the campus at Nipissing University, but I didn't advertise enough and I got
only eight people who signed up, and four of them were nuns. The course was to be held in honour of Father Belyea, who gave a course by the same name at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto...oh, I'd say about thirty years ago.
        I was going to take the class up into the bush and show them the need for the primitive gods. Since then I've been all over the place and everywhere I went I visited a shrine.
 I saw a place on Easter Island that no one has ever talked about.
 I spent hours outside the Bat Cave in Bali, where hundreds of thousands of bats come and go.
 I saw them burn bodies on the steps above the holy Ganges River at Varanasi, oldest living city on earth. I also was shown the Temple of Love, but that is another story for another time, 
         if we have another time.
        
        After visiting all those shrines, all I have to say is this:
       "THE HOLIEST SHRINE OF ALL IS THE HUMAN HEART-MIND."    
       
         Walt Whitman would agree. So would Waldo Emerson.  
         
          Emerson said: "THERE IS ONE MIND COMMON TO ALL INDIVIDUAL MEN" 
       
         The foundation of Carl Jung`s work is this fact. HIS  "Collective Unconscious" is built on this foundation. He was also
strongly influenced by "THE SEVEN SERMONS TO THE DEAD"  by Basilides.  This work was discovered at Nag Hammadi, and Jung got one of the codexes.
        Let's not forget Walt Whitman. He's one of the few natural seers
 we've had in the West.   And let`s not forget the VISION PLANTS.
  Without the VISION PLANTS, CHRIST CONSCIOUS NEVER WOULD HAVE
EMERGED.

Walt says:"There was never more inception than there is now,
Nor any more youth or age than there is now;
And will never be any more perfection than there is now,
Nor any more heaven of hell than there is now."( Song of Myself)

         Then he adds "I AND THIS MYSTERY HERE WE STAND." (Capitals mine)
What Walt is getting at throughout the waves and rhythms of his work
is exactly the same truth the early Christians meditated in order to see.

         The problem is, as the Zen Buddhists very well know, it is impossible to describe the truth. How do you put a vision of GOD AND MAN UNIFIED IN ONE into words?  Or realizing the Eternal Christ Consciousness within you
       How do you describe the MOMENT of REALIZATION, the implosion of all things into darkness... and the knowledge that you know all there is to know
and yet you know nothing.

         How do you figure out this paradox.  You don`t.

        All this writing is but the "finger pointing at the moon." It is not the moon itself.*
 (Buddhist saying)
       Only after searching and taking rationality to its dead end; then you stop and let a 
HIGHER FACULTY faculty take over,
       When there is silence everywhere,  focus on a PARADOXICAL SAYING: "In the beginning was the Word."  This is one such saying.
        This is a good saying, because there's no way you can understand it intellectually. Let the silence reign, and FOCUS.
        I like to call these sayings MINDSHOCKS, because their purpose is to break the EGGSHELL OF THE EGO. The Buddhists call this type of saying something else,
but they use them too
         Rational, scholastic and phiiisophical discussions won`t take us there
to that place where we need to be in order to satisfy our souls.
          Realization is the solution.  Realization is the pathway Home. 
          Realization can be achieved without the aid of the plants.But there
is no need to make it more difficult than it has to be. I starved myself, and
that`ll  get you to the same place, because your body will create
the vision on its own. But now that we know more about biochemistry,
we realize that DMT, made in the human body, give us our sense of
the sacred.
          The sacred mushrooms are also a strong source of DMT, And I can
tell you one thing as a matter of historical fact - the early Christians were
eating a lot of  sacred mushrooms. The Essenes were experts in healing
and herbs. Jesus Christ was an Essene. He came out of the
Essene community. 
          It looks as if he was their Teacher of Righteousness who

          The MANNA God gave the Jews in the desert. That was the
sacred mushroom. It was food from the heaven, the proper food
of man.
           "Before Christ came there was no proper food of man."

           THE HOLY EUCHARIST WAS WINE AND THE SACRED MUSHROOM:
"EAT THIS, THIS IS MY BODY." THAT STATEMENT WAS LITERALLY TRUE!
            Do you ever wonder why those words sound hollow in church?
It is because the words are false without the true sacramental food.

            THIS USED TO BE ESOTERIC KNOWLEDGE.
ONLY FOR THE FEW.

         The church knows it. They have just kept the facts
hidden in order to monopolize money and power.

          LIES!  God, we`ve been told some whoppers!
And I used to be so angry! I`m re-writing this article.
The last time I wrote it I hid part of what I knew to be
true.
          I like to be whipped. So did Christians throughout 
history. Many Christians whipped themselves. I like to cane others, too.   That might be a tad sadistic and perverted.
So what! Call me a pervert. So what!  I`ve been called worse.

      But I don`t kneel and masturbate to a woman in the other
room behind one way glass as some priests do, and pretend
it never happened... that these urges do not exist.
I`m admitting my frailties.  Big deal!
        "Man is nowhere more frail than in his sex."
That`s a truth.  You can quote me on that.
I`m telling you the truth where I am most frail.
Big deal!
        AM I GOING TO LIE TO YOU ABOUT THE
PATH TO GOD?
         No I am not. 

          The truth is not complicated.  The truth is a
profound simplicity....   that`s what is difficult about 
the truth.
           The truth is apparent all around us.
            "The Kingdom is spread out upon the earth
and men see it not."

            I  was feeling depressed this evening. I felt defeated.  Well, I feel
a lot better now. At least I`m not a liar at the moment.
            Thank you for listening to me.  Thank you for having the
courage to lay aside your prejudices - all you have been taught by the
bogus education system of our society.
           To quote Terence McKenna: "Culture is not your friend."

           Back to the earlier article:             "BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM."   This is a good egoshock/mindshock. Try to figure
this one out.  And then don`t bother, don`t try.  Mindshocks do not allow a
rational solution. That`s why focusing on them takes you closer to that pure land within you,
the original land where you have always been.

        Walt says: "Has anyone supposed it lucky to be born?
I hasten to inform him or her it is just as lucky to die, and I know it.

       "I pass death with the dying and birth with the new-washed babe
....and am not contained between my hat and boots "

      Later he says: "Who need be afraid of the merge", and adds
later still: "....I come again and again."
       "I have come well and I will go well."     
          There is no one reading this who has not been here before. I am not certain,
but I suspect the fact that we have many lives - this doctrine is one of the
many  "heresies" that was nixxed at the Council of Nicea.
      WE I SAY WE`VE BEEN LIED TO, I MEAN WE`VE REALLY BEEN LIED TO!
       Just imagine what our lives would have been like, and would be like now,
if the path had not been hidden, twisted and distorted for us
so many centuries ago.    Two thousand years!
          And the real doctrine is unburied now. It re-emerges now, after Nag Hammadi

            " I SHALL BE AS HE IS
            AND HE SHALL BE ME"  

                                               and the hidden things shall be revealed to him.

         
            "He who understands the explanation of these words will not taste death."



           From "The Sophia of Jesus Christ": "The Saviour"..."He is eternal, 
having no birth; for everyone who has birth will perish. 
He is unbegotten, having no beginning; for everyone who has a beginning has an end."

        "The beginningless  Father who beholds himself within
(as with) a mirror. He was revealed, resembling himself."
           Everyone who does  `sitting`  eventually  finds  the mirror within.

       The Zen Buddhists speak of cleaning the mirror of the mind. Through meditation you come to a place where your soul is mirrored by the Mind of the the One Who Is Creating us. It is a holy place. If I understand correctly this is the place the early Christians call, "the Bridal Chamber." It is also said to be a mirrored place.


        
        EVERYONE WHO DRINKS THE WATERS I SPEAK FROM MY MOUTH
         SHALL BECOME AS I AM
          AND I SHALL BE HE
           AND THE HIDDEN THINGS SHALL BE REVEALED TO HIM.          (Gospel of Thomas)

         This is the heart of the REAL GOSPELS,   THE REDISCOVERED GOSPELS,
  THE ONES THAT WERE BURIED FOR 2000 YEARS.

         Have you heard this saying in your churches? Oh, I forgot, no one really goes
to church anymore... I wonder why.
          The EUCHARIST has been adulterated.
        



      Of course, the mirror does not exist; it's just a metaphor for something that cannot be expressed in words.

                 I really hate hate the preachy tone - but the history of what has happened to many wonderful people who walked the walk,not just talk the talk... well,
I was finding it depressing.
                But there are great stories as well - the poets, the mystics, the wacky fools on the hill, ya gotta love em.   Hildegarde of Bingen, Meister Eckhart, St. John of the Cross, Walt Whitman, Father Belyea, Northrop Frye, Jay Macpherson ( who wrote Job daughters)
And all the ordinary heroes I don`t know.
               Those who laboured to present to the rest of us the true nature of our heritage - that there is more here than meets the eye ---that we are not confined by the lies that we have been told.
               These fools are trying to tell us what`s what!  And how the fuck should they know...these safe fat comfortable rich churchmen  and politicians - they never stepped out beyond the village gates the way the heroic mystics and poets and ordinary people who couldn`t read or write
did. The people knew horseshit when they heard it.
                Now that I think of it we`re O.K. And we`ve probably always
been OK... All we needed was a few drinks of alcohol  - AND THANK GOD FOR THAT! --- and the VISION PLANTS,  God-given herb and the
sacred mushrooms...
                Without the symbiotic relationship humanity formed with
these beings growing out of the soil, this consciousness
that is aiding us in the earth all around us,  maybe then we could have been fooled forever by the GREEDHEADS, AND THE LIARS AND THE GRASPERS AFTER POWER.
                But we had help, and we weren`t fooled forever... and don`t think those buggers (appropriate word) in the Vatican don`t know about the mushrooms -  early Christian art is full of mushrooms - just like Fairy Tales.
                One of my heroes is John Marco Allegro.  Check that beautiful man out! Google him!  He`s right here.
                He was an expert in language. He was hired to translate the Dead Sea Scrolls.... and he found way too many mush rooms, mushroom puns. The New Testament is full of them, he says. And I believe every damn thing the man says now!
               Everybody else lied... no one else did their job... not in ten years,
the way John did.  He wrote a book called, "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross", which was out of print for a while - no accident. See if you can find the endnotes at the end of the book where he proves his thesis.
               He was discredited for 30 years!  Thirty years!  That`s a long time in a man`s life. If you`re looking for a Christian martyr in recent days,
look at the life of John Marco Allegro.
              He has been totally vindicated, by the way, by a Russian scientist among other researchers. He went back to the root words in the Sumerian! Allegro worked things out all right.
             By the way, check out gnosticmedia.com.  Jan Werner (sp?) is doing some fine work, too.  And he affirms John Allegro`s work.
             As an aside, I met John Allegro at the museum in Toronto. He was giving a lecture. He was a scholar. He wasn`t obsessed. He had no interest in talking about mushrooms.

BECOMING ONE WITH THE MIND OF GOD.............................REDISCOVERED GOSPELS, BURIED FOR 2000 YEARS....

 

 

 

I was going to do a course called: RELIGION AND IMAGINATIVE LITERATURE
up at the campus at Nipissing University, but I didn't advertise enough and I got
only eight people who signed up, and four of them were nuns. The course was to be held in honour of Father Belyea, who gave a course by the same name at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto...oh, I'd say about thirty years ago.
I was going to take the class up into the bush and show them the need for the primitive gods.
Since then I've been all over the place and everywhere I went I visited a shrine. I saw a place on Easter Island that no one has ever talked about. I spent hours outside the Bat Cave in Bali, where hundreds of thousands of bats come and go. I saw them burn bodies on the steps above the holy Ganges River at Varanasi, oldest living city on earth. I also was shown the Temple of Love,
          But searching for a place of mystical union between man and god,
"THE HOLIEST SHRINE OF ALL IS THE HUMAN HEART/MIND," a temple we all share   
        Waldo Emerson said: "THERE IS ONE MIND COMMON TO ALL INDIVIDUAL MEN" 
       Carl Jung's work assumes this fact, there is one mind common to all men and he 
and he goes on to develop a system based on this thought when he develops his theory of the  Collective Unconscious.
       Walt Whitman agrees also, when he says:
"I AND THIS MYSTERY HERE WE STAND." 

Walt says:"There was never more inception than there is now,
Nor any more youth or age than there is now;
And will never be any more perfection than there is now,
Nor any more heaven of hell than there is now."( Song of Myself)
   
What Walt is getting at is exactly the same truth 
the early Christians meditated in order to see.

"tHAT THE INDIVIDUAL CAN APPREHEND GOD."
 On his own, by himself, no intermediary necessary

         The problem is  it is impossible to describe the truth. How do you put a vision of GOD AND MAN UNIFIED IN ONE into words?   Or realizing the Eternal Christ Consciousness within you. 
How does one describe a mystical union like that?
       How do you describe the MOMENT of REALIZATION, the implosion of all things into darkness... and the knowledge that you know all there is to know
and yet you know nothing.

         How do you figure out this paradox?  You don`t.
        Only after searching and taking rationality to its dead end;
then you must stop and let a HIGHER FACULTY  take over,
       When there is silence everywhere,  focus on a PARADOXICAL SAYING: "In the beginning was the Word."  This is one such saying.
        This is a good saying, because there's no way you can understand it intellectually. Let the silence reign, and FOCUS.
        I like to call such  sayings MINDSHOCKS, because their purpose is to break the EGGSHELL OF THE EGO. 
        The Buddhists call this type of saying something else,
but they use them too.
         Rational, scholastic and phiiosophical discussions won`t take us there
to that place where we need to be in order to satisfy our souls.
          Realization is the solution.  Realization is the pathway Home.

             "BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM."   This is a good mindshock also.
 Try to figure this one out.  And then don`t bother, don`t try.  Mindshocks do not have any
rational solution yet focusing on them takes you closer to that pure land within you,
the original land where you have always been.

        THE EYE THROUGH WHICH I SEE GOD, IS THE SAME EYE THROUGH
                 WHICH GOD SEES ME.        

          Meister Eckhart is talking about this mystical union

        Walt Whitman says:"I pass death with the dying 
and birth with the new-washed babe....and am not contained 
between my hat and boots "

      Later he says: "Who need be afraid of the merge", and adds
later still: "....I come again and again."

       There is no one reading this who has not been here before.


From "the Sophia of Jesus Christ": "The Saviour"..."He is eternal, 
having no birth; for everyone who has birth will perish. 
He is unbegotten, having no
beginning; for everyone who has a beginning has an end."

        "The beginningless first Father who beholds himself within
(as with) a mirror. He was revealed, resembling
himself."
           
        Everyone who does sitting eventually comes to the mirror within

       The Zen Buddhists speak of cleaning the mirror of the mind.
 Through meditation you come to a place where your soul is mirrored by the Mind of the Father. 
 It is a holy place. If I understand correctly this is the place the early Christians call, "the Bridal Chamber." It is also said to be a mirrored place.
 Of course the mirror does not actually exist: it is a metaphor for what happens
        
        This next saying is the CRUX of early Christian thinking       
And will be the crux  of the knowing of the new Christianity. "
        
        EVERYONE WHO DRINKS THE WATERS I SPEAK FROM MY MOUTH
         SHALL BECOME AS I AM
          AND I SHALL BE HE
           AND THE HIDDEN THINGS SHALL BE REVEALED TO HIM.          (Gospel of Thomas)

         This is the heart of the REAL GOSPELS,   THE REDISCOVERED GOSPELS,
  THE ONES THAT WERE BURIED FOR 2000 YEARS. This is the renewal of
Christ. To my mind it is CHRIST`S RETURN  after 2000 years, the uncovering of
the Original Truth, the Revelation of His original thinking.
That this saying were kept safe for 2000 years is a MIRACLE, and nothing short of
a miracle, for man alone could not have accomplished such a feat.

          HE SHALL BE AS I AM AND I SHALL BE HE

Understand the meaning of these words and you will be Realized.
You will have attained the revelation of the mystical union of man and god
This REVELATION is nothing short of a CHANGE OF IDENTITY
Small "i" identity becomes capital  "I` identity. And it happens
within you.

Then you know the meaning of the words;

"HE WHO  FINDS THE EXPLANATION OF THESE WORDS WILL NOT TASTE DEATH "


This has always been the Christian promise - that you will have eternal life.
And it is not an empty promise, as you will see.          
Have you heard this saying in your churches?
No you have not heard these sayings in your churches. 
          
         Even the EUCHARIST has been adulterated.

  NOTE:  Please forgive me for the excessively serious tone I seem to have adopted
                 in this article.  I really hate hate the preachy tone - but the history of what has happened to many wonderful people who walked the walk....not just talked the talk... well, it`s
depressing. 
                But perhaps this is the way it has to be. Perhaps it has all been planned
to make way for the coming REVELATION.
                 there are great stories as well - the poets, the mystics, the wacky fools on the hill, you`ve got ot love em.   Hildegarde of Bingen, Meister Eckhart, St. John of the Cross, Walt Whitman, Father Belyea, Northrop Frye, Jay Macpherson ( who wrote "Job`s daughters, a great poem). Those who laboured to present to the rest of us the true nature of our heritage - that there is more here than meets the eye ---that we are not confined by the lies that we have been told.
               These fools are trying to tell us what`s what!  And how the fuck should they know...these safe fat comfortable rich churchmen  and politicians - they never stepped out beyond the village gates the way the heroic mystics and poets and ordinary people who couldn`t read or write
did. The people knew horseshit when they heard it.
                Now that I think of it we`re O.K. And we`ve probably always
been OK... All we needed was a few drinks of alcohol  - AND THANK GOD FOR THAT! --- and the VISION PLANTS,  God-given herb and the
sacred mushrooms... They prepare us for Realization.
                Without the symbiotic relationship humanity formed with
these beings growing out of the soil, this consciousness
that is aiding us in the earth all around us,  maybe then we could have been fooled forever by the GREEDHEADS, AND THE LIARS AND THE GRASPERS AFTER POWER.
                But we had help, and we weren`t fooled forever... and don`t think those buggers (appropriate word) in the Vatican don`t know about the mushrooms -  early Christian art is full of mushrooms - just like Fairy Tales.
                One of my heroes is John Marco Allegro.  Check that beautiful man out! Google him!  He`s right here.
                He was an expert in language. He was hired to translate the Dead Sea Scrolls.... and he found way too many mush rooms, mushroom puns. The New Testament is full of them, he says. And I believe every damn thing the man says now!
               Everybody else lied... no one else did their job... not in ten years,
the way John did.  He wrote a book called, "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross", which was out of print for a while - no accident. See if you can find the endnotes at the end of the book where he proves his thesis.
               He was discredited for 30 years!  Thirty years!  That`s a long time in a man`s life. If you`re looking for a Christian martyr in recent days,
look at the life of John Marco Allegro.
              He has been totally vindicated, by the way, by a Russian scientist among other researchers. He went back to the root words in the Sumerian! Allegro figured things out all right.
             By the way, check out gnosticmedia.com.  Jan Vinner (sp?) is doing some fine work, too.  And he affirms John Allegro`s work.
             As an aside, I met John Allegro at the museum in Toronto. He was giving a lecture. He was a scholar. He wasn`t obsessed. He had no interest in talking about mushrooms.

OPPRESSION OF CHRISTIANS AT THE EARLIEST HOUR! .........................................................GOSPELS DISCOVERED IN EGYPT IN 1945.... PRE-DATE THE "OFFICIAL" GOSPELS IN THE BIBLE!

                                                                     

            Here's an example of the sort of oppression our early brothers

 and sisters in Christ faced when dealing with the temporal

 authority of their day.
 

        At this particular time, about 430 A.D., the RELIGIOUS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 

 had decided which books were part of the Christian Canon 

and which books were heretical (see COUNCIL OF NICEA 425A.D.).

            You see, those "weird" earlier Christians were actually 

holding property in common and giving all they had to their fellow

men. Basically they were taking the  sayings of Jesus
 

the Christ seriously...
 

        The Roman Empire was nothing if not practical. And Christianity
 

had become the church of Rome. So "Christianity" meaning now the established
 

church in Rome simply had to take a rigid property law seriously,

 because not to do this simply did not make practical sense.  Property Law

was a very serious matter to the Romans. Not to the Christians, however.
 

          At the same time you have these groups of monastic mystics, 

whose whole purpose is to see God!



       ( To commune with the Living One of God,  through Christ Consciousness,

the one who appears in dreams and visits you when you are badly 

injured or dying - the One who truly is God, and who truly is the Path

to the Eternal.
       
        This Christ is the Grail, and the pursuit of the Grail is the search for

God - these are the terms we have in the West. Once you taste the Mind

of Christ, you have a glimpse of why death is no longer a problem.

        "HE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE EXPLANATION OF THESE WORDS

WILL NOT TASTE DEATH." This is the heart of Christ`s teachings.

And this is why we do our sitting to clear our minds and attain

Realization.

       WE HAVE TO REVIVE THE QUEST IN THE WEST  OR WE ARE

WELL AND TRULY SCREWED, and all our culture will be in the

toilet.)

   
             The early mystics knew what they were doing because they had

the true words.  The quested to be liberated by the visionary Truth 

of what they saw....
 

        It must be remembered, these men and women who see God directly for themselves 

have no  need of priests to intercede on their behalf. They are mystics!   Mystics know

priests can`t help.  No one can see the Vision for you.  No one can climb that mountain

except you.  The most difficult mountain in the world to climb - is the one within you.

And it has slippery slopes.           *                           *(It`s the original  Glass Mountain).

       
       
            If they didn't need priests to see God, THEY DID NOT NEED TO PAY PRIESTS FOR 

FORGIVENESS.   And that`s where the shit hit the fan. 

      Panapolis was a town by the Nile River at this time. Across the river you could see the caves 

where the  earthen JAR  that contained the   fifty-two scrolls of the Nag Hammadi library was

buried in the sand.  That`s what the faithful ones had to do with the Words of their loving

Saviour - they had to bury them in the dirt!  Then they had to run away and hide.

         Not everyone wants to be crucified upside down.   And there`s really no need for it.


          
          The  Dead Sea  Scrolls were found a year later in the same area IN 1946.

          But make no mistake -  the discovery of actual earliest GOSPELS ( real ones, the oldest 

ones!  (This isn`t some New Age bullshit!)... the DISCOVERY AT NAG HAMMADI IN 1945

  IS OF FAR MORE IMPORTANCE THAN THE DISCOVERY OF THE DEAD SEA 

SCROLLS!

             Why the Christian world does not know this... it puzzles me.... More than

that, it amazes me!

             And if I think about it too much, it disturbs me.


            The earliest Christians had to bury the  BIBLE to keep it safe.

IT WASN`T FOUND AGAIN FOR 2,000 YEARS...

Doesn`t the timing seem remarkable to you?  THE TRUTH WAS BURIED FOR

2,000 YEARS AND NOW IT HAS COME AGAIN.

         
        The first gospels of Our Lord, the earliest gospels

were attacked as heresy....including the gospel called "The 

Source" -the Gospel of Thomas. The Gospel of Philip, the

Gospel of Mary - all suppressed as a result of the domination

of the Empire Church...

          Am I getting through to you? It`s a con.  It`s a

scam. You don`t want to gamble with these guys - they cheat! We have been betrayed. We`ve been lied to for 2,000 years!

          The entire Christian path has been bent and twisted

and the path to the Kingdom has been hidden
under the bushes.


          "FOR LIKE DOGS IN THE MANGER, THEY HELD THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM AND THEY KEPT THEM TO THEMSELVES; AND THEY DID NOT ENTER, NOR DID THEY PERMIT ANYONE ELSE TO ENTER."   Gospel of Thomas

         
           This is real history!  I`m not making this stuff up!

I wish to God I were lying about this... I`ve prayed to

 God, saying,  "Tell me that this isn`t true!"

          But it`s true and it`s nasty and it`s real

and I`m incensed about it.

          I`m enraged! and now I`m going to take a deep

breath and continue.

          
          Enough about me... this is history, and I suppose

I should be more restrained when recounting it...

         

 
         Shenoute was abbot of the monastery at Panapolis. He represented

 the church of the Roman Empire and was not amused to find a group 

worshipping at a nearby temple. This group referred to themselves as KINGLESS,

 and would not accept Cyril, Archbishop of Alexandria, as their "illuminator". 

        These terms are well known in the texts found at Nag Hammadi. 

The earliest Christians had to speak in CODE, so they weren`t 

burned or decapitated or imprisoned for lengthy terms.

        Shenoute called our ancestors  "pagan heretics". He seized their 

"books full of abomination" and "of every kind of magic".

These were the words found at Nag Hammadi)  Please read the Gospel of Thomas

and see if you find abominations.
 

          The churches of condemned Christians communicated with each other using
 

this code the Roman Church could not decipher. In fact, the founder of all the monasteries in the 

area had once used the same code, but he kept quiet about it.
 

          Shenoute threatened these earlier Christians : " I SHALL MAKE YOU

ACKNOWLEDGE THE ARCHBISHOP CYRILl  OR ELSE THE SWORD WILL WIPE OUT MOST

OF  YOU, AND MOREOVER THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE SPARED WILL GO INTO EXILE."

 

          Just as the Dead Sea Scrolls were put in jars for safekeeping and hidden 

at the time of the  approach of the Roman Tenth Legion, the burial of the 

Nag Hammadi Lbrary in an earthen  jar was also precipitated by the approach of

 Roman authorities.

              
          The ROMAN AUTHORITIES WERE THE OFFICIAL CHRISTIANS NOW!
